While I shoot most of my blog and social media content on my phone, there are things that I can do with a camera that I cannot do on the phone. For example, my husband bought me a Canon EOS Rebel T7 a few years ago that I use to make content, specifically for paid brand campaigns. The Canon EOS Rebel T7 is a great starter camera because it is affordable and can capture images and video.
   
3. Tripod: A tripod will help you stabilize your camera and create steady shots. Look for a lightweight, portable tripod that you can easily take. For example, I often self-shoot my content. Having a quality tripod allows me to be able to do this without the assistance of anyone else.
   
4. Lighting: Good lighting is essential for creating high-quality content. While natural lighting is the best, it is necessary to have portable lighting options like a ring light or a movable LED light panel to help you achieve the perfect lighting in any setting.
   
5. Computer or Laptop: A reliable computer or laptop is essential for writing, editing, and uploading blog posts. Choose a device that meets your needs and budget. For example, I invested in a MacBook Pro as a motherhood blogger and influencer during my second year. The Macbook Pro was a costly investment initially. However, I have more than made my money back from this product.
   
6. Web Hosting: As a social media influencer, you can also benefit from having a blog or website to house your content. A reliable web hosting service is essential to ensure your blog or website is accessible to readers. Look for a hosting service with fast loading times, security features, and technical support. I have used Bluehost for the past three years and have no complaints.
7. Microphone: A good-quality microphone is essential to create video content or podcasts. Look for a USB condenser microphone or a lapel microphone that will improve the audio quality of your content.
   
8. Editing Software: You’ll need editing software to enhance your images or videos. Many free and paid options include Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere Pro.
9. Social Media Scheduling Tools: To manage your social media accounts effectively, you should invest in social media scheduling tools like Tailwind, Hootsuite, or Later. These tools will allow you to schedule posts in advance and manage multiple accounts from a single platform.
10. Backup System: Set up a backup system to protect your blog content, digital images, and videos. You can use cloud storage or an external hard drive to keep your files safe.
