Five Reasons to Visit Legoland Discovery Center
Our family recently visited Legoland Discovery Center; our experience was AMAZING! Legoland Discovery Center is an indoor family entertainment center featuring interactive exhibits and attractions based on the popular Lego building blocks. Legoland is designed to provide a fun and educational experience for children and families, allowing them to explore various Lego-themed activities. Several Legoland Discovery Centers are located worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. We visited the Philadelphia location, which is located in Plymouth Meeting Mall. (Check out my posts about Dutch Wonderland and Rehoboth Beach for more family fun in the Mid-Atlantic.) Each center offers a unique set of attractions and activities. Still, all are designed to provide a fun and engaging experience for Lego fans of all ages.
What activities can I find at Legoland Discovery Center?
Some attractions at a Legoland Discovery Center include Lego building zones, 4D cinema experiences, Lego-themed rides, interactive play areas, and Miniland displays featuring miniature Lego models of famous landmarks and cityscapes. The location we visited had a breathtaking cityscape of Philadelphia. Everything from downtown locations, the famous Art Museum, and Boathouse Row was included in the cityscape.
Who is Legoland Discovery Center Geared Towards?
Legoland Discovery Center is geared towards families with children, particularly those fans of Lego building blocks. The attractions and activities at a Legoland Discovery Center are designed to be engaging and fun for children aged 3-10. However, older children and adults can also enjoy the experience. The interactive exhibits and activities are geared toward children’s interests and abilities, providing a safe and stimulating environment for them to explore and learn. The Legoland Discovery Center is also created to be accessible and accommodating for families with young children, with features such as stroller parking, diaper-changing facilities, and quiet rooms.

What was the Harrison Family’s Experience?
Overall, Legoland Discovery Center is an excellent choice for families looking for a fun and educational indoor activity that can be enjoyed together by children and adults alike. All four members of my family had an awesome experience, and each for a different reason. My son, who is five, loved being able to build different structures and was inspired by the variety of Lego structures found around the Legoland Discovery Center. My seven-year-old daughter enjoyed riding the Imagination Express, an immersive and interactive train ride. My husband appreciated the cityscape of Philadelphia as a native Philadelphian. My favorite attraction was the Lego 4D Cinema which was an action-packed Lego movie including real wind, rain, and snow effects!
When asked what score we would each give it on a scale of 1-10, each family member answered:
Deuce (five-year-old boy) – 10!
Annalise (seven-year-old girl) – 10!
Martin (Daddy) – 9
Me (Mommy) – 9
We all voted that we want to visit again in the future.
A visit to a Legoland Discovery Center can be a fun and memorable experience for the whole family, providing a unique blend of entertainment, education, and creativity. If you have been looking into what is foster care and are considering applying and having foster children, Legoland is a great place to take them. As a whole, Legoland offers a fun packed family experience that you will all remember as time goes by. Have you visited Legoland or Legoland Discovery Center? What was your experience?
