Places to Visit in Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk

One of the most popular attractions in Delaware is the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. Whether you are visiting the beach with a baby, small children, teens, or another adult, there is much to do. Delaware visitors and locals can find quaint shops, open-air restaurants, amusement rides, and games. While many people flock here in the summer, there are things to do at the boardwalk all year long. There is a reason that Rehoboth Beach is rated as one of the best beaches on the east coast.

Funland

The Harrison family loves Funland! Funland is a family-run amusement park located right on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. While Funland is fun for the entire family, it is ideal for families with young children. Their rides include a carousel, bumper cars, swings, a train ride, a pirate ship, and a haunted house, to name a few. My favorite thing about Funland is the prices. It’s super affordable. Their motto is old-fashioned fun and yesterday’s prices, and this has always been our experience.

Jungle Jims

Jungle Jims is Delaware’s largest waterpark. They have several water rides and pools for families to experience. Some of their activities include a Kid’s Spray Ground, Lazy River, Wave Pool, and several water slides. In addition to the waterpark, they also have batting cages and two mini-golf courses. If you plan to visit the Rehoboth Beach area, Jungle Jims definitely need to be on your list of places to visit.

Midway Speedway Park

Midway Speedway Park is another must-see attraction in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Midway Speedway Parks’ activities include go-karts, mini-golf, and water rides. When purchasing tickets, you can buy for individual activities or buy tickets that include all of the activities. Midway Speedway Park opens in April and remains open through the summer months. It is only open on the weekends beginning in September and going through November,

Rehoboth Beach Midway Tanger Outlets

If your family is anything like mine, the children constantly grow out of their clothing. The perfect place to shop for new clothes for the kids and for the adults in your family is the Midway Tanger Outlets. These outlets include stores like Carter’s, Janie & Jack, OshKosh B’gosh, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, American Eagle Outfitters, Gap Factory, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, and the Nike Factory Store to name a few. There are options for every family’s budget.

Great Delaware Kite Festival

The Great Delaware Kite Festival is an event that is one of the best Easter activities in Delaware. It takes place at Cape Henlopen State Park on Good Friday. This event consists of an Easter egg hunt and includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny. In addition to the Easter-specific activities, several kite competitions occur throughout the day. This portion of the event is open to all ages. The competition is broken into three categories: Children, teens, and adults, and special awards are given out at the end of the competition.

Bubble Palooza & Color Fun Run

The Bubble Palooza & Color Fun Run is a spring event for the whole family. It includes bubbles, inflatables, giant yard games, magical unicorn sprinklers, and face painters. The main attraction at this event is the 5K which is a 1K that can be looped as many as five times. This event is an excellent way to introduce young children to the joy of participating in a 5K.

Sea Witch Festival

One of Rehoboth Beach’s most popular events is the Sea Witch Festival. Every October, tons of witches, ghouls, and goblins descend on the Rehoboth Beach Area for this event. This parade has thousands of participants, decorated floats, several musicians, dancers, and artists. If you are looking for a memorable Halloween event in Delaware, this is the one that you do not want to miss.

Rehoboth Beach Christmas Tree Lighting and Sing-Along

The Rehoboth Beach Christmas Tree Lighting and Sing-Along is an exciting way to kick off the holiday season. This event usually takes place during Thanksgiving weekend. Participants will enjoy the lighting of the big community tree and will sing popular Christmas carols. You can end the night with a nice dinner and holiday shopping at the Midway Tanger Outlets. If you cannot make it to the Rehoboth Beach Tree Lighting and Sing-Along, there is also a Rehoboth Beach Hometown Parade in early December.

Rehoboth Beach is one of my favorite places to visit in the state of Delaware. While it is obviously a great place to enjoy during the summer months, there are also things to do here in the spring, fall, and winter. So which of these events or places do you want to visit?
