Christmas Mantel Decor
Nothing says “it’s Christmas time” more than beautiful Christmas mantel decor. Christmas mantel decor can elevate the look and feel of a room. It is really only second to your Christmas tree in terms of holiday decor. That said, you should take some time to intentionally curate Christmas mantel decor as it can be a statement piece in your home. The good news is that it doesn’t have to break the bank.

Have a Focal Point
On my mantel, the focal point is the mirror. Some people may use a clock, a wreath, or a piece of art. You basically need a large object to build the rest of your decor around. Here are some possible focal point options.
Garland, Garland, Garland
Garland is a decoration that helps your mantel to feel more Christmasy. There are tons of garlands out there to choose from. You have everything from real garland to flocked garland and even pre-lit garland.
Christmas Mantel Decor is not Complete Without Stockings
Every Christmas mantel needs stockings. How else is Santa going to leave us smaller gifts and treats? Some people go for whimsical stockings; others may go for ones that all have some similarities, such as color or material. There are many options for stockings to choose from.
Make it yours
Most mantels decorated for Christmas will have a focal point, garland, and Christmas stockings. Still, the additional items you add to your Christmas mantel decor will make it unique. This year, I used smaller Christmas trees as mantel accents. In previous years I’ve used Black nutcrackers to add a little flare to my mantel. Here are some options to make your mantel look and feel unique.
Does my Christmas Mantel Decor need a color scheme?
It doesn’t have to have a color scheme, but the ones with a color scheme look exceptionally polished. The Christmas colors I use to decorate my house are typically white and gold. I occasionally infuse a little bit of red. Some other color combinations that look good together are blue and silver, red and green, Black and white, and purple and pink.
I hope you found this helpful. It’s time to kick back, relax, sip some hot chocolate, watch Christmas movies, and go mantel decor shopping. How will you be decorating your Christmas mantel? Let me know in the comments.
