And just like that, Deuce is 5 years old
Martin Harrison, Jr., who our family affectionately calls Deuce, is 5 years old! Deuce is the baby of the Harrison clan, though he will tell you he is not a baby in a heartbeat. He loves applesauce muffins and pizza. His favorite toys are his legos, monster trucks, and number blocks.
Though the youngest, I often refer to Deuce as the strongest person I know. He was born at 33 weeks gestation instead of 40 weeks. As a preemie, he experienced a few health challenges. Some of the challenges we still deal with today, namely his hearing. By all other accounts, Deuce is a happy, healthy little boy. He is super intelligent, in addition to being very sweet, a little quirky, and hilarious.
We’d planned to host a party for Deuce’s birthday at Skyzone, but I came down with Covid. So, unfortunately, we had to reschedule the party. We spent the day at home, just the four of us. He told me this was his best birthday ever.
Deuce, I wish you a wonderful year full of happiness, superb health, and lots of pizza! I love you more than you can even imagine! Wishing you the happiest 5th birthday!
